The Friends of Edgewood-Oak Brush Plains Preserve are concerned about a proposed Truck-Rail InterModal (TRIM) facility to be built adjacent to the preserve. Among their concerns, they believe that lighting for the proposed 24-hour facility will harm the flora and fauna of the preserve. Specifically, the preserve is home to the buckeye moth, an endangered species, that will likely be harmed by TRIM facility lighting.

The Friends of Edgwood will be holding a tour and information session on Saturday April 28. For information, read their invite (PDF) or contact Patricia Burkhart.
